Russian Riverkeeper

Every time it rains our waterways are deluged by tons of trash, nutrients, bacteria, sediment, pesticides, oil and heavy metals; making stormwater pollution the single largest cause of water pollution in our nation. Russian Riverkeeper’s Education and Outreach program raises awareness of stormwater pollution in our watershed by informing the community of the problem and the solutions we need to employ as a community to ensure swimmable, fishable, drinkable waters today and for future generations. Support from Keeper Springs helps us organize and support river cleanups, continue implementing our Clean Campus Clean Creeks program at local high schools and monitor the pollution levels in stormwater runoff.

Russian Riverkeeper works with the community to advocate, educate and uphold our environmental laws to ensure the protection and restoration of the Russian River for the health and benefit of all who use and enjoy it!
